STUDENT LIFE

Athletics & Sports

A 400-metre all-weather track, open playing fields, and enough of both that no child waits their turn.

Why all-weather matters

Games do not stop for the long rains

Nairobi has two rainy seasons. On a grass track, that means months where athletics quietly lapses and PE moves indoors. An all-weather surface drains and stays usable, so sport is a year-round part of the week rather than a dry-season subject.

A track is not the asset. Access to it is.

Football, athletics and swimming, timetabled

Physical education runs weekly for every year group, taught to the British National Curriculum. Football and field games use the open pitches, track work uses the 400-metre oval, and swimming is taught on site rather than bussed across town.

In our founding year the intake is small enough that selection is not a barrier. A child who wants to run gets a lane.
