ACADEMICS

Primary School (Key Stages 1 & 2)

Developing caring global citizens

Our primary school program develops caring global citizens in the warm and familial environment of our Karen campus. Students build strong academic foundations under the British National Curriculum, developing literacy, numeracy, scientific inquiry, and cultural awareness that will serve them throughout their lives.

Years 1 & 2 (Ages 5 to 7)

In Key Stage 1, we guide students through the transition from play-based early years learning to structured academic subjects. The curriculum focuses on building robust skills in English phonics, reading, writing, and foundational mathematics. Science, art, physical education, and Swahili are integrated into their daily routines.

Our teachers foster a nurturing, high-support environment where children build confidence, social-emotional strength, and a positive attitude toward academic challenges.

Years 3 to 6 (Ages 7 to 11)

Key Stage 2 deepens students' academic independence, critical thinking, and collaborative skills. Scholars engage in more advanced scientific inquiry, mathematical reasoning, reading comprehension, and creative writing.

We introduce project-based learning and encourage students to take agency in their academic journeys. Dedicated specialist classes in IT, music, and sports round out a rich curricular experience that prepares them fully for future academic pathways.

Where young minds flourish

Our primary program is offered at our main campus on Magadi Road, Karen, providing a nurturing, community-oriented environment. Small class sizes allow teachers to know each student as an individual and provide differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs.
