Applying to a school for the first time in Nairobi is confusing enough. Doing it across a time difference, from another country, makes it worse. This is what happens between your first message and your child's place being confirmed, in order.
Step 1 — Enquire
Tell us your child's age and when you need a place. That is all we need to start.
We reply with your child's entry point and the full founding fee schedule in writing, so cost is settled before you attend an event, sit through a tour, or fill in a form.
Step 2 — Visit
Come and see it, at the Founding Open Day on Saturday 29 August or on a private weekday tour if that date does not suit you.
Walk the classroom your child would actually sit in. Meet the teacher who would actually take their class, and ask where they have taught before and what they believe about how children learn.
Step 3 — Apply
The online application takes about fifteen minutes. We ask for your child's most recent school report alongside it, so we can see where they are rather than guess.
Submitting an application is free and commitment-free, and it holds your child's position in the queue — useful, since our classes are capped at twenty-five — while you take your time deciding.
Step 4 — We meet your child
A relaxed, age-appropriate session so we understand how your child learns and where they should start. For an Early Years child it looks like play with a teacher in the room. For an older child it is some reading, some mathematics, and a conversation.
What comes out of it is a starting point, and where needed a support plan.
Step 5 — Join the founding cohort
You accept the place, meet the other founding families, and start on the things a first cohort gets to decide. The house names are still open.
Common questions
Can we join mid-year? Yes. Families relocating rarely get to move in September, and we will map the transition from your child's current school year by year before you commit.
What if English is not spoken at home? Say so early. English as an additional language is something we plan for.
What about fees? Ask us and you will have the full schedule the same day, including what is charged separately — transport, lunches, uniform — so you see the full cost upfront.
Is there a deadline? The constraint is the cap of twenty-five per class, not a date. When a year group fills, it closes.
